SCHOOL CALENDAR 2011-12
The HCS school calendar closely follows the public school calendar for the convenience of parents who may also have children enrolled in that system. The State Department of Education requires all non-public schools to schedule a minimum of 170 days to implement an educational program. Our schedule provides for 176 days in session. It is left to the discretion of the individual private school whether to schedule make-up days for cancellations due to inclement weather.

| January 23 | “Priority Enrollment” period begins for HCS families |
| January 30 | Open House - all day Community enrollment begins |
| February 20 | President’s Day – school closed |
| March 9 | Professional Day - no classes |
| March 22 | Spring Art Show Association Meeting |
| April 5-13 | Spring break - school closed |
| April 16 | School resumes |
| May 11 | HCS End-of-the-year picnic |
| May 24 | Pre-Primary Commencement |
| May 24 | Last day of school |
| May 25 | Primary Commencement |
| May 28 | Memorial Day – school closed |
