Our Team

Heather has a degree in Early Childhood Education and holds two Montessori Teaching Diplomas, one for children birth to three years and the other for ages three to six. She joined our teaching team in 1997 and has been the Executive Director for 22 years. Over the years, she has overseen the development and expansion of our programs including the successful Pre-Primary program. Heather shares her passion for teaching young children by leading our dedicated team of teachers and staff. Heather is married and has three children, all of whom are HCS alumni. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Bianca received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Albright College. Prior to joining our team in 2021, Bianca had been an HCS parent for the past 7 years and has served as the President of the Board of Directors for more than 3 years. She has worked in various supervisory and technological roles for more than 10 years. She has 3 children, all of whom attended Hagerstown Children’s School. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and Penn State football.

Ms. Katie brings both experience and expertise to her role in the classroom. A dedicated member of our team for more than nine years, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Frostburg State University, and two Montessori teaching diplomas. With more than a decade of experience working with children in both childcare and educational settings, she is committed to fostering a love of learning in every child she teaches. A wife and mother of two daughters, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and sharing in the joy of watching children discover the world around them.

In a role that combines her love of kids and passion for learning, Ms. Stephanie brings creativity to the classroom in her role as the Assistant Kindergarten Teacher. She has owned Raynor Photography for 15 years. A wife and busy mom of three, she enjoys hiking, thrifting, and exploring new hobbies – though her favorite place is always at home with her family.

With nearly two decades of experience at HCS, Ms. Kaelin brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for Montessori education to her role as a Primary Lead Teacher. She holds both a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and a Montessori Teaching Diploma, and loves inspiring curiosity and a lifelong love of learning in her students. A proud HCS parent, both of her children are alumni of the school. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at the beach, and getting lost in a good book.

Angela received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Kutztown University and has received her Montessori Teaching Diploma. She joined our teaching team after her three daughters had incredibly positive first school experiences in our Primary classrooms and has worked with us for more than 10 years. Angela is enthusiastic about working with children and brings her zest for life into the classroom. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and two dogs.

Stephanie has her degree in Early Childhood Education, a Montessori Teaching Diploma, and over 16 years of experience teaching children in a childcare setting. Her flexibility to teach all ages makes her a valuable asset to the HCS team. Stephanie is married with 2 children. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting and spending time with her family.

Ms. Lexi joined HCS in 2025 and is excited to begin a new adventure as part of our Primary teaching team after spending her first year in the Pre-Primary classrooms. She enjoys welcoming students each morning during Morning Care with a warm smile. When she's not at school, Lexi loves listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Beatles, spending time with friends, and fueling her day with an iced coffee from Dunkin.

Alieta holds a Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) and a Montessori Teaching Diploma and Montessori Assistance Certificate. She joined our team in 2002 after attending Washington County Technical High School for Early Childhood Education. Her gentle approach to teaching helps her connect with the students in her classroom. She enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her husband.

Kristen has been a dedicated member of our teaching team since 2017. She loves the Montessori teaching methods, as a parent of 2 children that attended HCS, she has seen the benefits firsthand. She is originally from Long Island, NY but now resides in Hagerstown. Kristen recieved her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Mount St. Mary College, and holds a Montessori Teaching Diploma. She enjoys sharing years of experience in childcare and her love of learning with our youngest children in our Pre-Primary class.

Lynsay received her Associates’ Degree in Early Childhood Education from Hagerstown Community College. She joined our team in 2023 and comes to us with more than 11 years of classroom experience. Lynsay is married and has one child who currently attends Hagerstown Children’s School. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting and being outside.
